ASMI welcomes Tim James to Medicines Australia
18 September 2014 - The Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) today congratulated Tim James on his appointment as the new Chief Executive of Medicines Australia.
ASMI Executive Director, Dr Deon Schoombie, welcomed Tim James to his new role saying: "ASMI congratulates Tim on his appointment. He has a strong background in the medicines industry and Federal and State politics and will make a great contribution to the sector.
"It is a critically important time for the medicines industry as
it faces a number of challenges as well as new opportunities. Tim's
background in both government and the pharmaceutical sector place
him in an ideal position to take the industry forward.
"ASMI has worked with Medicines Australia on several projects of mutual interest and we have built a strong relationship with Medicines Australia over the years. We look forward to working with Tim in the future," said Dr Schoombie.
