23 July 2014 - The Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) is offering an exciting selection of new sponsorship packages this year for the ASMI Annual Conference and ASMI Diamond Awards Dinner.

ASMI Executive Director Deon Schoombie said that sponsoring the industry's premier events gives sponsors high visibility amongst 350 of Australia's top decision makers from the non-prescription medicines industry and related organisations such as pharmacy, government and consumer groups.

"The sponsorship package receiving the most interest from potential sponsors this year is 'Sponsor a Speaker'. The speakers, who are internationally respected leaders in their fields, spend two hours with the sponsoring company discussing the topic of their presentation. They could give a presentation at the sponsor's premises, participate in a panel discussion or engage with the sponsor's employees in a Q&A session. The possibilities are endless!

"Another is the 'Powerbite Lunch', where the sponsor can give a mini presentation to conference delegates at lunchtime. This package is perfect for any supplier to the non-prescription medicines industry because it provides brand awareness and business development opportunities and is an ideal way to network.

"Sponsors will receive several additional benefits such as inclusion in the conference app, ASMI e-newsletters and on the ASMI website.

"Sponsors will have access to a prominent group of decision makers in the non-prescription medicines industry. There is great potential to increase brand recognition, differentiate from competitors and make an impact.

"We are also offering the opportunity to sponsor the ASMI Diamond Awards through the Diamond Awards Dinner Sponsorship where the sponsor receives complimentary dinner registration for eight guests, premier seating at the dinner and the painting from the dinner entertainment. It is also possible to sponsor the Diamond Awards Reception, where sponsors receive a number of benefits including two complimentary dinner registrations. The Reception is a great way to network with the key leaders in the industry," said Schoombie.
